Sadly it is not working well. It will only rewind or ply in reverse. No forwards modes work.
It did work fully for about half an hour after I replaced a cable then returned to the reverse only state.
It can operate from an external 12V supply or from a 12V battery that goes in a slot in the housing. There is a 10 pin socket for a video camera to connect.
